Why “Hands-On”?
Because after 40 years in the nonprofit world, I still approach fundraising that way. I enjoy the dual nature of this work: half art and half science; half philosophy and half paper cuts.
The creativity keeps me excited. The paper cuts keep me grounded.
My fundraising experience includes arts, community, social service, and education organizations. I’ve helped to build successful fundraising programs by focusing on great communications, sensible planning, and strong donor relationships.
How do you say your name?
Mary? No, just kidding. “Cahalane” rhymes with “salon”. Easy!
Can you help me?
Probably! Hands-On Fundraising helps great organizations get even better.
I’ve spent a lot of time in shoes like yours. I know it can be a challenge to prioritize. And failure is not an option!
I can help you communicate better with your donors.
Your words have the power to build strong donor relationships – if you know how to use them.
I can help you map out your fundraising program.
You have to make smart choices with limited resources. Focus and planning will get you the results you need.
I want you to succeed.
When you work with Hands-On Fundraising, I’ll be with you all the way. I’m convinced focusing on your donors is the key. Your donors can change the world. You just have to show them how.
